The District of Sechelt has three snow plow/sanding trucks.
In the event of snowfall, the snow plow/sanding trucks will be deployed in the following order of priority:
Truck #1
Norwest Bay Road, Mason Road (hill portion), Trail Island Drive, Trail Avenue (Anchor to North Gale), Selma Park Road, Snodgrass Road (hill portion), Nestman Road (hill portion) and Havies Road (hill portion).
Truck #2
Sechelt Inlet Road, Sandy Hook (major roads), Tuwanek (major roads), Field Road and Davis Bay area.
Truck #3
General - as and where needed.
Normally, after the main roads (including the Downtown area) and the hills are cleared, the crew will start to clear side roads and streets.
The above noted priorities are subject to change based on storm conditions. If more equipment is required, the Public Works crew also utilizes the grader and backhoe.
