Community Maps

The District of Sechelt does not currently provide an online mapping system.  Here are some links to excellent mapping resources on the Sunshine Coast.

Sunshine Coast Super Map

This is an Interactive version of the popular Sunshine Coast Super Map.

The Sunshine Coast Super Map contains GIS-accurate placement of streets, logging roads, single track/skidder roads, horse trails, ATV trails, hiking trails, mountain bike trails, back-country cell coverage, camping and diving sites. GPS/Longitude and Latitude gridding will help you navigate your way to some of the very special places here on the Coast. The Super Map also lists a wide variety of local businesses and services to make your stay more convenient.

SCRD Web Mapping

The Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) offers 3 different Web Map services which contain information for the entire Sunshine Coast Regional District.

  1. OPIS (On-Line Property Information System) -  Designed to allow the public easy access to ‘front counter’ information. The public can quickly access information that used to require a trip to the SCRD office directly from their residence.
  2. PIMS (Property Information and Mapping System) -  A subscription based site designed for the land professional. PIMS provides access to legal plans, property sales data and detailed land use information. Tools are available to analyze data, create reports and compose detailed maps.
  3. Sunshine Coast Habitat Atlas is a web-based mapping tool that accesses information and inventories on watercourses and environmentally sensitive areas found within the SCRD’s aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. The database provides up-to-date information to planners, developers, government organizations, municipalities, First Nations, community organizations and local businesses, enabling them to make informed land use and stewardship decisions in support of the protection, enhancement, and restoration of fish habitat and sensitive ecosystems
